David DeStefano, Esq.
The Law Office of David DeStefano, PLLC, is a general practice law firm handling PERSONAL INJURY, AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT, CRIMINAL DEFENSE, CIVIL and BUSINESS related matters in both State and Federal courts. Residing in Harlem for over a decade, David focuses his practice Uptown, but represents clients across New York City. Before law school, David worked as a paralegal for a major national law firm in its FIBRE (financial institutions, banking and real estate) division. During law school, David interned with the Hon. Caesar D. Cirigliano, former attorney in charge of the Legal Aid Society, and realized his draw to the defense of those with their life and liberty at stake. After law school, David was a litigation associate with Meringolo & Associates, P.C., a boutique firm in Manhattan practicing both high-profile criminal defense and civil litigation. David gained invaluable experience as a young attorney defending federal RICO and drug trafficking cases as well as complicated civil matters, before opening The Law Office of David DeStefano, PLLC in 2012. In 2015, David was selected by the former Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division, First Judicial Department for a position on the Mayor's Committee on City Marshals and was appointed thereto by Mayor de Blasio.
